Thank you for the continued documentation! I would not be able to keep up with it, because what a wild series of revelations it is. I would agree that the Beast isn’t in the clear yet, but I’d also guess his war chest should fund plenty of good lawyers.
Oh man...meant to comment on the two before, but things keep coming up. It is for the best I guess.
"Never meet your heroes."
Although the mrbeast bunch were no idols for me anyway, but it is always the best to keep a distance on almost any occasions. This might also sound cynical, but the people with the cleanest image tend to be the most fucked up. And lets be honest...it is not that far fetched to think there are shenanigans afoot, when adult people keep on doing childrens stuff. Or it might be just me. (Mr Rogers is still cool I guess and I would lose a good chunk of faith in this world if anything would come up with him.)
After saying this, I still have something in defense for some of these dudes...well, actually it is not a defense but still explains some of these stuff. On Donaldson himself, I can still somewhat believe that he didn't think that he did anything wrong. He's certainly on the spectrum and so deep on the grift and the "gaming the algorithm" that I can see that he removes any human element from the brand/IP he built. Getting in trouble with the IRS? That certainly seems on character for him. (Also when you are working an algorithm, in the long run it always removes the human element...people just...don't work like that.) The stuff with Tyson was also done quite pragmatically. Without getting into the why and how, he did go on the path of least resistance. If he outs him at start, this shit would have immediately surfaced and one could say that the truth always comes to the surface, but does it? There is actually a big chunk of survivorship bias working in this tought and I guess it was worth the risk.
The Tyson-minors stuff also needs some addendums. So starting with her(?) stiffled development, some of these texts were taken place quite a long ago...and we all know that one doesn't becomes an adult right at becoming 18. Also read somewhere here that gay people never really grow up and...well...this is getting long but here's some story.
When I was at the Uni, one of my friend desperately needed some more points to be able to stay at the dorm. So he went for the easiest way and joined of the...well...one of the more peculiar clubs. It was the Just Dance club/circle and without really taking part in those shenanigans, I did hang with them quite a lot. There were 3 types there mostly...freshman who just wanted to be part of something and somewhat less academically inclined, histrionic women and flamboyant gays, many of them actually part of the drag queen community (one of the dudes actually won the miss drag queen Hungary later. Also this was also the same dude who once greeted me with the "Hey Achernar! I have gonorrhea"...as I said...flamboyant gays.). Yes...I've been to few of these shows...but this is already getting too long. One of the most striking stuff I deduced is, that how prevalent pederasty is. Like some of the guys first partner was usually some middle aged dudes. And also most of the dudes were in some sugar boy relationship most of the time. I think you see where I'm getting at. (There are many stuff from these times so I might refer to it in the future...like it was 0-24/7 crazy.)
Although I saw some things written about this phenomenom, but I think that besides the trans stuff, this might be a reason for the lack of backlash in that direction. Like if they start to attack Tyson on this, it will open this whole can of worms about the stuff going on in the gay community. And we can't have that. And at this point I just remembered another time about a scandal with a gay teacher, who kind of hinted on this, but he was cut off right at the moment by the very progressive journalist as he knew that the implications can easily go against the gays at large.
Back on the current post. I had my share of fun but yeah...it is getting tired. I'm also kind of over following internet drama.
(I don't know how famous the Bud Spencer-Terrence Hill movies are over there. I always heard that they are not that popular in the US, but here in Hungary they are still crazy popular. Like Carlo Pedersoli got actual statues and murals after he died and you can run into one of their movies in the tv almost any day. Anyways...it was a nice touch...saw every movie with them multiple times as a child and always find myself watching them, when I run into them. They are certainly not high culture, but man...they did hit something timeless.)
Villains.
Villains everywhere.
